Every year, Clarkson University's ACM chapter hosts a preliminary contest for the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest. Each team of up to three members is given 8 programming problems to solve within 5 hours. The team that scores the highest will move on to the Northeast regional held later in the Fall semester.

For planning purposes, we usually hold the event on a Saturday in October and schools that have come in the last few years include SUNY Potsdam, Saint Lawrence University, McGill university, Clark University, and Middlebury College.
