A large portion of our services are connected into our authentication system. Talos handles user accounts and authentication with LDAP & Kerberos to servers that are connected to Central Auth, and Metapod is used to have a NFS drive on machines connected to Central Authentication.

The perks of this are that accounts made on Talos can log into many machines in the labs (COSI Lab machines & Services in the Server room), and have the same home directory on every machine.
