Dining Philosophers is an event that we like to do around the Labs once in a while where we go out for a night on the town and sample a little of the multicultural capital of St. Lawrence County that is Potsdam, NY. Think of it like a "social" or a "sock-hop" but without the dancing and with a lot of eating.

This has long been a tradition of the Clarkson Open Source Institute. It is typically done a few times a semester, but not so often that it is a huge strain on our pocketbooks.

Dining Philosophers Problem (Computer Science)

Our Dining Philosophers event is named after the Dining Philosophers Problem in computer science.
