You need to add an extra end quote to the link at the very end. Otherwise, I really like the front page! --Edmandmc 19:29, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, fixed the issue. — Lewisrj 21:15, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

I think we should add the Network Setup page to the front page. — Matt McCarrell 15:25, 27 June 2008

I don't see an issue with this. Added. — Ryan Lewis 10:38, 11 July 2008 (EDT)

The fav ico is missing. — Matt McCarrell 20:55, 28 June 2008

Was there ever one? If so, do you know where the file is? — Ryan Lewis 10:38, 11 July 2008 (EDT)
I believe we did. It was the logo that Jake made that we use in the corner of the wiki. I think it disappeared in the past few months. — Matt McCarrell 08:37, 15 July 2008 (EDT)
I don't remember there being one and, if there was, what would have caused it to spontaneously disappear? --Shephezj 16:49, 2 August 2008 (EDT)
If we didn't I must be going crazy or something. I believe I use to remember seeing it and I remember looking for it on the docs VM one day last semester. I also believe it was created and put up right around the same time we posted Jacob's logo to the wiki since it was a shrunk down version of the logo. As for it disappearing, I'm guessing it might have something to do with an upgrade to the wiki. --McCarrMS 18:46, 2 August 2008 (EDT)
Hmm... Remind me to look around at the beginning of the semester and see if I can find anything on the image. --Shephezj 18:06, 3 August 2008 (EDT)

I'm still not receiving emails when pages are updated and I've tried numerous email addresses. — Matt McCarrell 13:09, 31 July 2008

Lately I haven't been getting emails either (I was not too long ago). Do we know if there were changes to Clarkson's setup that might have caused this? --Shephezj 16:49, 2 August 2008 (EDT)
I don't believe it was a change to Clarkson's setup since emails from Nagios manage to get out OK (in exception to the cslabadmin mailing list). I did take a look at the mail logs and they are kinda blank which is odd although docs appears to use exim and not sendmail. Possibly switching to sendmail might fix the issue or reconfiguring the current mail agent? --McCarrMS 18:47, 2 August 2008 (EDT)
I'll stick poking at the mail setup on my todo list. --Shephezj 18:06, 3 August 2008 (EDT)
Sounds good! I was going to try something the other day but didn't think I should since I'm not responsible for the VM and didn't want to break something. We should really get in the habit of the development VMs to test changes/deployments in first. — Matt McCarrell 21:32, 6 August 2008 (EDT)
This reminds me of the problem with Mantis (which has never been solved =[ ). Perhaps it's something with the OS? — Ryan Lewis 18:09, 3 August 2008 (EDT)
It could be but who knows? Although Mantis in the labs runs on Fedora while docs is on Debian.... so.... Maybe we could eventually combine the wiki onto the cosi VM if your still planning to rebuild it come Fall. I have some thoughts as well that I feel would be wise to be incorporated into a new VM, so let me know because I would like to be involved. — Matt McCarrell 21:32, 6 August 2008 (EDT)

Redoing Navigation

Any objections to consolidating links by linking to pages like (e.g. Category:Documentation), adding links to Lab Hours and How do I ...? --Shephezj 15:48, 3 November 2008 (EST)

We should put up the lab hours on the front page ASAP, I've had people asking for where they could find it. --Ranok 19:35, 3 November 2008 (EST)
Done. --Shephezj 09:37, 4 November 2008 (EST)

I feel like we have too many overlapping categories and need to gain some distinction between them so that the same pages are not listed over and over under the category pages. Any thoughts on this? --Matt 8/14/2009 12:02PM EST

Modifying the Main Page

Hey, can we make this page modifiable? Thanks.

I'm not sure that seems like the best idea since it is the front page but ultimately I'll leave that decision up to Zach & Ryan. Also, I really like that we have a favicon.ico again :) ~ Matt
Pat's issue has been taken care of... for now ;-] — Ryan Lewis 21:50, 23 July 2009 (EDT)
Because it's the front page, I'd prefer to keep it protected so that any potential changes will be discussed before it's made. This should be true of any potentially controversial change on any page, but things don't always work out that way. --Shephezj 15:54, 24 July 2009 (EDT)
In case you're curious, Pat wanted to make some changes to the format and content of the main page. I told him to use his sandbox instead and we can go from there. — Ryan Lewis 15:57, 24 July 2009 (EDT)
Sandboxes are wonderful things. Pat: Let us know when you have something ready; I think a layout change might be good. We can all take a look and when we have something everyone likes, I'm sure one of us could copy it over. --Zach Shepherd 17:00, 24 July 2009 (EDT)
